About Monument Bay

A history of care, reimagined for what’s next.

Monument Bay is built on a vision that independence and support should go hand in hand; a neighbourhood where people continue living life on their own terms, with the reassurance that care is there when it’s needed. It’s a new vision for ageing, one that embraces the next chapter of life with confidence, connection and the beauty of a riverside setting in the heart of Mosman Park.

Our Story

Monument Bay is the newest chapter from Curtin Heritage, Perth’s award-winning not-for-profit provider of aged care, residential care and independent living. For decades, Curtin Heritage has built communities on a simple premise: that growing older should never mean growing apart from the life you love. Monument Bay takes this further — a riverside neighbourhood where design, care and community are woven together from the ground up, drawing on evidence-based models from Denmark, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands, alongside insights from leading Australian and New Zealand providers.

What makes Monument Bay different is how easily it integrates into everyday life. Retail, wellness, hospitality and care exist alongside architecturally designed homes, open to residents and the wider community alike. Independent apartments, townhouses and supported living all share the same address and the same design philosophy, so that wherever someone is in life, they remain part of the neighbourhood around them rather than set apart from it.

About Curtin Heritage

For decades, Curtin Heritage has believed that growing older shouldn’t mean leaving behind the community you’ve always called home.

Based in Perth’s western suburbs, we’ve built our reputation by staying connected to our residents, their families and the neighbourhoods that have shaped their lives. As a not-for-profit organisation, everything we do is guided by people, not profit, from the design of our homes and gardens to the experiences we create each day. Across Marine Views, Waterfront Cottesloe, RiverSea Mosman Park, RiverSea Village, Forrest Street Community Hub and The Heritage Collective, you’ll find communities that are vibrant, welcoming and connected, where art, music, education, friendship and a sense of belonging matter just as much as exceptional care.

About Curtin Heritage

Architecture with purpose

Monument Bay’s design is led by Cox Architecture, one of Australia’s leading architectural practices, in collaboration with planning consultants Urbis.

Together, they’ve drawn inspiration from the site’s riverside setting, the character of Mosman Park, and community feedback gathered along the way, shaping a neighbourhood where retirement living, care, homes and community spaces come together in one welcoming, connected place that is designed to feel like home, not a facility.

Research as much as instinct

Curtin Heritage’s approach to Monument Bay draws heavily on research and decades of lived experience.

The design and care model take their lead from evidence-based communities across Denmark, Finland, Germany and the Netherlands as well as leading Australian and New Zealand providers who understand what culturally responsive care looks like here.
