Monument Bay marks major milestone with official handover of Rocky Bay’s Mosman Bay site
Mosman Park, WA — Curtin Heritage has marked a major milestone at Monument Bay with the official handover of keys of Rocky Bay’s Mosman Park site.
Rocky Bay’s Mark Kolinac, CFO, on behalf of Michael Tait, CEO, officially handed the keys to Curtin Heritage Managing Director David Cox, marking the next stage of the partnership between the two organisations.
Located at 60 McCabe Street, Mosman Park, Monument Bay is a proposed 30,000-square-metre riverfront community precinct bringing together accommodation, public open spaces, community facilities and commercial spaces. The development will include a range of accommodation and services designed for older people and the wider community, creating opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to live, connect and participate. Cox Architecture has been appointed masterplan architect, with Urbis as town planner.
“Today’s Mosman Park key handover is the beginning of an exciting new chapter,” said Mr Kolinac. “While this site has a long connection to Rocky Bay, we are proud to see it pass to an organisation that will continue creating value for the community. This site has played such an important role in Rocky Bay’s story and holds special meaning for so many people connected to our organisation over the years. Importantly, this sale strengthens Rocky Bay’s ability to invest in what matters most: our customers. This next chapter enables us to continue delivering the services, supports and opportunities that
empower people living with disability to live the life they choose. We’re delighted to mark this milestone alongside Curtin Heritage and look forward to seeing their vision for the site come to life.”
Mr Cox said the development would benefit both organisations and the wider community. “This development provides an opportunity for both Curtin Heritage and Rocky Bay to expand the services and experiences we offer to the community creating greater opportunities for people to connect, participate and access the support and services they need.”
